At a ribbon cutting ceremony held September 5 at DeNeveu Creek Retirement Community in Fond du Lac, Heartland Properties, Inc. celebrated the opening of one of its latest affordable housing projects. participated in the ribbon cutting along with representatives from the Fond du Lac Chamber of Commerce and the Fond du Lac Luthern Home Foundation. An open house held September 10 attracted 250 - 300 visitors.
DeNeveu Creek features 24 ground-floor apartments for people 55 and older. This facility was 100 percent occupied upon opening. This is an exceptional occupancy rate as it generally takes six to eight months to market and fully lease a new facility.
