Ribbon Cutting, Open House Scheduled At Countryside Of Clinton

A ribbon cutting ceremony and open house is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 19 at the new Countryside of Clinton apartments, 1130 North 11th Street, in Clinton, Iowa. The event is open to the public.
Developed through a partnership between Heartland Properties, Inc. and Newbury Development Company, Countryside of Clinton is an affordable housing option for people age 55 and older. The one-story building includes 32 apartment homes - eight one-bedroom and 22 two-bedroom units -- built around a central courtyard.
A host of community and business leaders will attend the ribbon cutting. They include: Jim Levy, Newbury Development Company; Mayor LaMetta Wynn, City of Clinton; Ken Sivertsen, Alliant Energy; Mike Tramontina, Iowa Finance Authority and Ruth Domack, Heartland Properties, Inc.. A tour, including refreshments, will be held immediately following the ceremony.

"Countryside will go a long way toward meeting the need for additional high-quality and affordable senior housing in the Clinton area," explains Fitzpatrick. Countryside of Clinton apartments range in size from 900 to 1,100 square feet and are conveniently located near grocery, retail and medical services. The development was made possible through a $1.4 million investment by Alliant Energy Resources, as well as financial support from the Iowa Finance Authority and the Iowa Department of Economic Development.

This facility will accommodate the lifestyles of our older citizens for years to come."
