- After several unsuccessful attempts, Tom secured the services of Brian Sommersberg and Craig Grabhorn – both having close ties to Sheboygan.
- Subsequently, in May 2024, Billy Bud was transported to the Sheboygan South High School for the commencement of the restoration project.
