Country View, constructed in 1995, provides 42 apartments for older adults in Waunakee. This mixed-income building developed with Housing Tax Credits offers 39 apartments that are affordable to seniors earning less than 60% of Dane County median income. In addition, 21 apartments are specially designed for frail older adults. The Waunakee village board worked in partnership with the developer and Heartland to incorporate the new home of the Waunakee Senior Center on the ground floor of Country View. Residents and seniors from throughout the community come together at Country View for meals, social activities and educational programs.
